This site is designed to combine my newly discovered interest in sustainable gardening with my love of cooking. My philosophy highlights the benefits of local seasonal ingredients mixed with imagination to create nutritious and vibrant recipes.

Within my company, I’m actively involved in the Green Thumb Club which provides a sustainable Community Garden to employees. I joined a garden team this year with 5 other employees and together, we maintain 2 of the 65 raised-bed plots during the seasons.

In addition to being a unique beautification project in Northwest Oklahoma City, the Employee Garden dedicates a number of plots to growing food for BritVil Community Pantry.
The community garden is a great example of how my company values environmental stewardship. We grow food organically and building healthy, living soil. No chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are applied to crops and soil is amended with homemade compost. Water conservation is encouraged through use of drip irrigation. Through the increased demand for products from local farms and nurseries, the garden helps to enrich the local economy.
